A beautiful natural oasis in the heart of the city of Montreal Mount Royal Park is a large park dominated by a fairly small mount overlooking the city in all directions. About 4 Kilometres east to west and 2.5 kilometres north to south Mount Royal Park is the place where Montrealers congregate on the weekends and other times to relax, enjoy nature, exercise and to take part in other more organized activities such as the Tam Tams, which are a time for weekly relaxation and socialization that takes place on the flats facing Parc Avenue every Sunday and centre around local djembe, bongos and other drum players, and much more.
