The Montreal Formula 1 Grand Prix is Montreal’s marquee summer event par excellence. One of the most popular destinations in the International Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit the Montreal Grand Prix puts on display all that Montreal has to offer and at this point has become more than just the Formula 1 race, it is now a week long celebration of life and Montreal. With its early June race dates it also marks the unofficial beginning of Summer and Montreal festival season.

The Montreal Formula 1 Grand Prix race takes place at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, named after the legendary Quebecois race car driver Gilles Villeneuve, on Ile Notre Dame a short distance away from downtown Montreal and easily accessible with the Montreal Metro at metro station Jean-Drapeau.
